Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Answer incoming calls and emails promptly, responding to inquiries regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Manage the front desk operations, including managing the PBX system and maintaining a clean, organized lobby area.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues with grace and efficiency, escalating complex matters to the manager when necessary.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with strict accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.
- Assist with concierge duties, providing recommendations for dining and entertainment in the Detroit area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, OpenTable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
