Responsibilities
- Manage seamless guest check-in/out processes using Opera property management system
- Handle reservation inquiries, modifications, and confirmations with exceptional customer service
- Process payments, maintain accurate financial records, and resolve billing discrepancies
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and valet departments to ensure flawless operations
- Act as primary point of contact for guest requests and emergency situations
- Upsell hotel amenities, dining options, and local attractions to enhance guest experience
- Maintain organized front desk operations including key management and mail/package handling
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years front desk experience in luxury hotel environment
- Proficiency with Opera property management system
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Professional appearance and polished customer service demeanor
- Basic knowledge of Chicago attractions and transportation systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred
