Responsibilities
- Check in/out guests efficiently while verifying reservations and payment methods
- Manage room assignments and maximize occupancy through strategic allocation
- Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with exceptional service
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for guest requests
- Utilize hotel management systems (Opera/PMS) for daily operations
- Implement upselling strategies for room upgrades and amenities
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hospitality or customer service experience
- Proficiency with property management systems (Opera preferred)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Valid Michigan driver's license (for vaifl duty if required)
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends/holidays
- Basic knowledge of Detroit attractions and local area
- High school diploma or equivalent required
