Responsibilities
- Check in/out guests efficiently while verifying reservations and processing payments
- Manage room assignments and maximize occupancy through strategic inventory control
- Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with prompt resolution
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and valet services for seamless operations
- Handle guest complaints with empathy and escalate complex issues to management
- Maintain accurate records in hotel management systems (Opera/Fidelio)
- Process cash transactions and reconcile daily reports
- Support hotel events and special requests including VIP accommodations
Qualifications
- 1+ years front desk or customer service experience in hospitality
- Proficiency in hotel management software (Opera, Fidelio, or similar)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments during peak hours
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for valet coordination)
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Baltimore attractions and transportation options
