Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: warmly welcome guests upon arrival, manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and ensure a smooth registration process.
- Guest Relations: provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, making recommendations for local dining and attractions, and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
- Operations Management: answer incoming calls, manage the switchboard, and handle mail and courier services.
- Financial Accuracy: process cash and credit transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and prepare nightly reports.
- Lobby Maintenance: maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby, reception area, and common spaces.
- Reservations: assist with reservation requests, manage room availability, and update guest profiles in the Property Management System (PMS).
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a front desk, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be comfortable using computers, hotel PMS software (e.g., Opera, Micros), and phone systems.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Professionalism: High school diploma or GED required; a background in hospitality is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
