We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team at The Washington Plaza Hotel, a historic landmark located in the heart of the nation's capital. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional experience for travelers visiting Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Manage guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with accuracy and efficiency.
- Process guest payments, including credit cards and cash, while adhering to company financial policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest requests promptly.
- Handle complaints or issues diplomatically to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; hospitality or customer service experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate amounts of weight (up to 20 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or high-volume front desk role is preferred.
