Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front desk operations including check-in/out, room assignments, and VIP guest handling
- Train and mentor front desk agents on service excellence and Marriott standards
- Resolve complex guest complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Manage room inventory and maximize occupancy through strategic pricing
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments
- Prepare daily reports on occupancy rates and revenue metrics
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years hotel front desk experience with 1+ years in supervisory role
- Proficiency in Opera property management system
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Michigan Food Service Manager certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of Detroit tourism and local attractions
- Marriott certification or similar industry training a plus
