Grand Lake Lodge & Spa is seeking a visionary Hotel General Manager to lead our prestigious property in the heart of Chicago. Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance departments.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by monitoring service quality and implementing effective service recovery strategies.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue, occupancy, and profit margins.
- Manage the hotel's annual budget, financial reporting, and forecasting to ensure fiscal health.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of hospitality professionals.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with local community leaders and corporate partners to enhance the hotel's reputation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, preferably within a luxury or upscale setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Oracle Opera, Micros, or similar software.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Detail-oriented with a proven track record of operational excellence and problem-solving.
