Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional check-in/check-out experiences using Opera property management system
- Manage reservations, room assignments, and guest requests with precision
- Resolve guest inquiries and concerns promptly while maintaining service excellence
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for seamless operations
- Maintain organized reception area and ensure compliance with brand standards
- Act as local Chicago ambassador with knowledge of attractions and transportation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hotel front desk or high-end customer service experience
- Proficiency with hotel management systems (Opera/Fidelio preferred)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations with attention to detail
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of Chicago tourism and transportation systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification a plus
