In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth and memorable check-in and check-out process. You will manage the front desk operations efficiently, handle inquiries with grace, and contribute to the overall ambiance of our property.
Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Greet all visitors and guests warmly, providing a superior level of customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently process registrations, verify identity, collect payments, and issue room keys or access cards.
- Communication: Answer incoming calls, manage email correspondence, and relay messages promptly to ensure seamless communication.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS), including reservations and special requests.
- Facility Maintenance: Monitor the lobby and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met at all times.
- Problem Resolution: Address guest complaints or issues immediately, escalating to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Shift Coverage: Assist in covering front desk shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or hospitality role is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Micros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Interpersonal: Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and pay close attention to details.
