Responsibilities
- Check guests in/out efficiently using Opera PMS system
- Handle reservations, billing inquiries, and payment processing
- Resolve guest complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate shift reports and guest records
- Upsell hotel amenities and local attractions
- Execute emergency procedures calmly and effectively
Qualifications
- Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Proficient with hotel management software (Opera/Fidelio)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of Chicago tourism hotspots
- Valid Illinois driver's license (if valet duties required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
